Important To-Do's
Here are the important things to do that helped me throughout my teaching experience, and hope it helps future teachers.
Keep Important Papers
When teaching, it's good to keep some papers handy. Here are some papers you need.
Lesson Plans
Whether it be your lesson plans, plans from previous SLS classes, open class plans, or from open classes you went, it's good to keep these handy saves your life in the long run.
Store all worksheets and lesson plans into one folder. You can organize materials by grades, and lessons. You can use a folder, take some index tabs or post its and stick it onto scratch paper, and label them by lessons. I do the same for Winter and Summer Camp as well.
Organizing
Document Your Lessons From Textbooks with Post-Its
Post-its As Mini Lesson Plans
Since I teach 1st-6th grade, post-its act as mini lesson plans. I used to scribble down what to cover all over the pages in the textbooks, and it got kind of messy. And I used to type down lesson plans, print them out and read from it. But using post-its keeps everything neat, and you can take notes on it, and later on you can type your activities from the post-it to make your actual lesson plan. It also saves you and your coteacher if one of you forgot what activities you did for the class.

Organizing Activities From the Textbook
With Post-its, I've arranged all the activities and divided them into different categories: worksheets, videos, games, PPT games into the textbook. You can also use the teacher's guide if you prefer, or a notebook. I also use a notebook because one of my textbooks was stolen with all the notes in it. Under each post-it category you can write down the activities that were used, the games that were played, videos watched, etc. This helps you when you are planning for an activity and it's much easier to choose what you want to have in your lesson. Basically, you're like keeping stock of your own great ideas.
